The most common cognitive difficulties
The advantage of the centre is that it specialises in a narrow field on a given topic.
Time is of the essence
With advancing age, memory impairment and various behavioural changes may occur. Sometimes this is normal aging, other times these problems are caused by illness. The most common are Alzheimer's disease or vascular disease of the brain. It is very important to recognise difficulties early - before they develop serious impairments in memory, behaviour, emotions and self-sufficiency. Our centre offers comprehensive assessment and targeted treatment in one place.
Cognitive rehabilitation
The centre also provides cognitive rehabilitation, which targets patients with any kind of mental impairment. The aim is to improve their cognitive condition or compensate for cognitive deficits so that they can better manage their participation in normal daily activities and thus increase their self-sufficiency and independence. A secondary effect of cognitive rehabilitation may be to reduce the burden on carers.
